Northshore Youth Soccer Association (NYSA) is proud to announce the addition of Brandon Mitalas to the Association as the Director of Coaching for Sound FC, NYSA’s premier soccer program. Brandon will be responsible for the technical leadership of the premier program, working closely with our staff, coaches, players, and families to continue to develop our on and off-field culture; not only defining Sound FC’s place in the soccer community, but the local community as a whole.
Brandon, a US Marine and veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, has spent the last 14 years coaching soccer in Washington at the youth and collegiate levels, achieving success at every stop. He has a US Soccer A-Youth license and was the 2019 Washington Youth Soccer Girls Competitive Coach of the Year. Brandon’s experience with college recruiting, USYS National League, ECNL, goalkeeping, and ties to the local community make him an ideal leader for Sound FC.
“As an association, we are excited to welcome Brandon home as he returns to our premier program as the Sound FC Director of Coaching. We believe that Brandon’s ingenuity, experience, and dedication to the premier players in our area will allow us to grow and expand the quality soccer programming offered by Sound FC, which is an integral part of the continued success of our association.” — Bryan O’Donnell, President of NYSA
“I have deep ties to Sound FC, playing and coaching for the clubs that led to the birth of Sound. I am passionate about this community and it’s young student-athletes, and I am thrilled that I now have the opportunity to come back and work to grow the game and our club! I feel that we are what we have done, seen, and experienced. Everything that I have experienced so far in life, has prepared me for the opportunity to lead Sound FC. I cannot wait to jump in head first and begin my chapter of leadership with Sound FC as the premier destination for players, families, and coaches.” — Brandon Mitalas, Premier DOC for Sound FC
