Dorian Lair
Director of Goalkeeping – Sound FC
Owner – Lair Goalkeeping
Dorian Lair brings a player-first approach and elite-level experience to every session. A former collegiate goalkeeper at Warner Pacific University, Dorian’s career also includes time with Portland Spartans (NPSL), FC Mulhouse Portland (NPSL), St. Petersburg Aztecs (UPSL), and Snohomish County Steelheads FC (CPL). He’s trained under and alongside top-level coaches across the country, earning his USC Goalkeeper Level 1 license and completing his USSF D License coursework.
Dorian’s coaching experience is just as extensive—he’s served as Goalkeeper Coach for Warner Pacific University, Hillsboro Soccer Club, Salmon Creek Soccer Club, Bellevue Athletic, West Seattle Junction (USL2) G12 & G16 Head Coach at Snohomish United, and finally here with us at Sound FC. He also owns and operates Lair Goalkeeping, a year-round goalkeeper development company that provides elite-level training, camps, and mentorship to aspiring players throughout Washington and Oregon.
Dorian was brought to Warner Pacific by none other than Sound FC’s own Director of Coaching Brandon Mitalas, who recognized Dorian’s talent during his time at Edmonds College, where Brandon coached and mentored him. That relationship—and a connection to Warner Pacific legend Bernie Fagan, thanks to Brandon—helped launch Dorian’s playing and coaching career leading him to us with Sound FC.

A former collegiate and semi-pro goalkeeper himself, Brandon played at Warner Pacific University and brings over 15 years of coaching experience across the youth, collegiate, and semi-professional levels. As Director of Coaching, Brandon ensures the goalkeeper pathway aligns with Sound FC’s holistic development philosophy. He understands the position inside and out and has mentored dozens of successful keepers at the collegiate and professional level.
Brandon’s unique ability to identify and nurture goalkeeping talent has directly shaped the success of the Goalkeeper Academy. His continued collaboration with Dorian keeps the program focused, connected, and forward-thinking.
