BRANDON MITALAS

Director of Coaching
US Soccer "A" License Coach 2019 Washington Youth Soccer Coach of the Year Former NCAA Division I Coach | Coaching professionally since 2008 As a player, I won five State titles, three Regionals, and a National Championship. As a coach, I’ve led teams to State and Regional titles and twice to the US Youth Soccer National Championships. I hold a USSF “A” License, two Goalkeeping Licenses, and previously served as a Coaching Education Instructor.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes creativity, communication, and confidence—helping young athletes express themselves and grow both on and off the field. David creates an inclusive, engaging environment where players are encouraged to think independently, build meaningful connections, and take pride in every aspect of their game. Walt brings a leadership-forward style grounded in discipline, teamwork, communication, and joy. Walt creates cultures where players push themselves, support each other, and take pride in their development, blending passion and purpose into every environment.

SHAUN WARNER

Head Coach
USSF B License | Multi-Time Coach of the Year in KingCo and Wesco | Seattle Times Coach of the Year | Extensive Youth, High School, and College Coaching Experience. Shaun brings an education-first approach rooted in patience, positivity, and genuine care for his players. His sessions focus on confidence, problem solving, and treating players with the same respect he expects for his own children. Shaun uses soccer to teach life lessons that build resilient, grounded young people who thrive on and off the field.

ADAM FENSTER

Head Coach
Former Collegiate and UPSL Coach | USSF B License | ODP and Sounders Youth Coaching Experience | Evergreen State College Player | Semi-Pro Player in the Netherlands. Adam brings a thoughtful balance of technical development, spatial awareness, and joy to every session. His coaching sharpens decision-making and game insight while keeping players energized and fully engaged. As someone shaped by both American and European playing experiences, Adam works to spark a lifelong love for the game and support players so they stay connected to soccer as athletes, mentors, and leaders.

ADAM SMITH

US Soccer D License | 18 Years Coaching | 35 Years Playing | Multiple WPL Titles | Former Bolton College and Bromley Cross Elite Player. Adam brings passion, personality, and a deep love for attacking football into every environment. His fast, possession-based style focuses on movement, bravery, and expression, building confident players who trust themselves and the game. A lifelong Manchester United supporter, Adam channels the same devotion into his coaching, helping young athletes fall in love with soccer the same way he did and carry that joy into every challenge.

Shannon brings a technical, detail-driven approach centered on repetition, precision, and creativity. Her sessions help players grow quickly while keeping the environment fun, positive, and rewarding. She inspires confidence and work ethic in young athletes and builds spaces where players feel supported, motivated, and excited to pursue excellence.

Michael brings a calm, confident, and development-focused style shaped by years of playing and coaching across multiple levels. His sessions emphasize bravery, smart passing, and learning through mistakes, helping players embrace challenges with composure and intent. As someone who grew up immersed in the game, Michael creates environments filled with joy, learning, and shared ambition.

USSF C License | 7+ Years Competitive Coaching | 20+ Years Playing across Kenya, Sweden, Norway, and the United States. Jabez brings a global perspective to player development shaped by experience across multiple continents and competitive levels. He blends technical sharpness, possession principles, and strong team identity with a commitment to inclusion, positivity, and resilience. His coaching creates environments where every player feels valued, supported, and pushed to grow as an athlete and as a person.

VICTOR RAMIREZ

Victor brings a balanced, process-driven style that values technical growth, creativity, resilience, and positive culture. His training challenges players to think, learn, and adapt while treating mistakes as essential steps in development. Victor’s environments are supportive, demanding, and designed to help athletes grow into confident, well-rounded individuals on and off the field.

Cole Jackson

Head Coach
USSF “D” License Coach of U-11, U-13, U-15, Washington Youth Soccer EPD Program. Former Collegiate & Semi-Professional Player With over six years of youth coaching experience, Cole brings a player-centered approach that blends technical development with a strong emphasis on personal growth. His coaching philosophy focuses on creating an environment where players enjoy the game. He is committed to helping players grow not only as athletes, but as individuals—instilling values such as teamwork, discipline, communication, and respect. Cole creates a positive and engaging team culture where players feel supported, challenged, and motivated to reach their full potential. His impact extends beyond the field, as he works to develop confident, driven individuals with a lifelong love for the game.

Jose Luis "Tio" Vega Morales

Head Coach
USSF Grassroots licensed, Coach Tío brings a lifetime of experience from Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, where he developed as a creative, skill-focused player. Now coaching in Washington, he blends old-school fundamentals with modern techniques to mentor hundreds of youth players, many advancing to NCAA Division I, MLS NEXT academies, and international programs. Known for his passion, energy, and motivational leadership

I’ve played football (soccer) my entire life, That dedication shapes my coaching, bringing energy to every session. My approach is influenced by my studies through the FC Barçelona, focusing on structured training, decision making, and developing intelligent players in realistic game contexts. I emphasize creativity, movement, and confidence to help players understand and express themselves within the game. I’m committed to creating a positive, challenging environment where athletes can grow on and off the field while developing a lasting love for football.

Ann McGowan

Head Coach
USSF F License | 20+ Years Coaching Experience | Middle School Head Coach | Former Collegiate Player | Counseling Background. Ann brings a player-centered, team-focused approach that emphasizes technical development, game intelligence, and a strong sense of cohesion on the field. Her training encourages players to control tempo, connect through passing, and compete as a unified group. With a long history of success across boys and girls programs, Ann fosters an environment built on growth, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game; helping athletes develop confidence and character both on and off the field.

Paul Bayly

Head Coach
Paul holds USSoccer A license and multiple USSoccer coach educator licenses. Paul is currently Director of Coaching Education for Washington Youth Soccer and U.S. Soccer Coach Education, contributing to grassroots through B licenses and advanced coaching pathways. His work includes national team talent ID scouting, coach development, and implementing modern methodology that prioritizes intelligent, possession‑based, soccer and holistic player growth.

Simon Craig

Head Coach
Simon brings over 18 years of coaching experience to Sound FC and is a former premier player for NW Nationals, one of the clubs that became Sound FC. He is passionate about developing technically strong players from a young age, focusing on building confident problem-solvers who stay composed on the ball. Simon is dedicated to fostering a love for the game while challenging players to compete, improve, and pursue excellence, and he finds his greatest reward years later when former players and their families reconnect to share how his positive environment and high expectations helped shape their growth.
